DEJA VU ALL OVER THE WEB

There must be a glitch in "the Matrix."

The "Wal-Mart Living Wage Coalition," of Ithaca, New York, has its own website, which features a picture of a handful of the many committed, "ethnically diverse," men and women of Ithaca who tirelessly work against Wal-Mart's everyday low prices and job opportunities for the disadvantaged class.

Incidentally, the exact same committed, "ethnically diverse," men and women are also featured at Ithaca's own Bush MUST Go website, telling us not to vote for the recently re-elected Republican:

If you are wondering why they use the same picture, it might be because this is what the bulk of the "living wage coalition" actually looks like:

I guess the ones at the two websites are the only Ithacites that take the time to bathe or shave on a regular basis.

HYDROGEN FUEL NOT SO "CLEAN"

Check out the recent issue of Popular Science. It goes point by point how Hydrogen fuel, as of right now, is not the wave of the future.

It'll increase the use of fossil fuels not only for the process of seperating the hydrogen atoms from water, but also with the shipping from the factories to any fuel stations. A gallon of gas has 2,600 times the energy as a gallon of hydrogen fuel. Plus, hydrogen leaks will rise into the atmosphere and would help contribute to any "Green House" effect.

In short, more pollutants will be released into the air to bring you that hydrogen fuel than would have been expelled by a fossil fuel burning vehicle.

The article also explains that "renewable sources can provide only a small fraction of the energy that will be required for a full-fledged hydrogen economy."

Which means that all that trouble, and taxpayer money, being expended to develop a hydrogen car will probably be for naught.

THE NEXT SENATOR FROM MASSACHUSETTS?

The Associated Press is reporting that a New England man has been charged by police with manslaughter for "leaving his girlfriend to drown, after their car crashed ...into a ... pond":

The [vehicle] crashed through a guardrail and ended up on its roof in Holly Pond ...early Saturday. Officers caught [the man], soaking wet, nearby.

Police said the couple has been seen at a nearby bar shortly before the accident.

"I believe alcohol and speed were factors in this crash," said Sgt. Andrew Gallagher.

Unfortunately for the driver, the New England state was not Massachusetts, and his last name is not "Kennedy."

Therefore, he faces a long sentence in state prison, not a long career lecturing Republican politicans on their lack of "humanity."

"MOORE" DECEPTIONS

Talk about hypocrisy.

Michael Moore made "Fahrenheit 9/11," a film in which he alleged that Bush stole the 2000 election. Now, Moore himself "stole" an election for "Favorite Film" at the People's Choice Awards last night.

It turns out that Moore stuffed the ballot box:

Moore had the last laugh, taking advantage of the People's Choice Awards' new Internet voting system to enable "Fahrenheit" to trounce those flicks as favorite motion picture.

In year's past, People's Choice winners had been determined by the Gallup Organization, a national pollster. This year..."the people" voted online - and Moore used his popular Web site to tell the film's fans that a vote for "Fahrenheit 9/11" was a vote against President Bush.

Many left-wing groups, and even Barbra Streisand, linked to Moore's site.

At this point, it is becoming clear that First he manufactures facts for a movie. Now he manufactures awards for it.

At what point, does even ultra-liberal Hollywood realize that George Lucas puts more reality into his films than does Moore?
